Default Christmas SOS

Hello Jagexperts,
Can't believe what I have woken up to. My engine bay is filled with a most horrifying sound. Could it be the chains? Can I drive her? Here is the problem: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3t...ew?usp=sharing Will be grateful!

I'm not going to click on it, you click on the link...
I'll just say NO, don't drive it.

I would leave driving it to being very limited on an only if you ABSOLUTELY have to. I can't tell you exactly what it is, but I do know that it's never a good sign. Assume all the fluids are at the proper levels? I'd be worried that there might be a bearing going somewhere in the lower end, but it's hard to tell from a video.

It's probably internal, but just to be sure, remove the serpentine belt and start it briefly. That will eliminate the idler, tensioner, pump, etc.

I would also like to add that each time I revv the engine the knocking sound in the video is followed by about 4 clicks (which sound like the starter motor solenoid clicks when the car is about to be started).

That to me sounds like it could be a tensioner going out. There's only one way to find out! Don't keep starting the engine up until you've pulled a valve cover.
