Default Codes and Thermostat

I dont remember the code off the top of my head will try and get it asap. but i have a 2000 xj8 i changed out my ignition coils all good on those codes they are all gone and cars running like a champ but i still have a DEALER CODE coming up and its keeping my check engine light on still... Does anyone have any idea how to delete this code??? Also i have never changed out a thermostat but my car if it warms up to long in the cold like ideling in driveway for 20mins it will blow off my coolant hose, if im riding it hard on the expressway with my a/c on for a while same thing it blows of my hose. i changed out coolant caps to theck that, changed out the clamps flushed out my radiator and changed out hoses still does it, the only thing i can think of it being is the thermostat is sticking...Where is the thermostat located i know its usually located right on top by the hose usually i have a motor covering and such on my engine...can anyone tell me where its located exactly and if pretty much just bolt on like anyother???

You could check out a few of the "thermostat tower" threads. Some have pictures and descriptions of the one difficult to reach fastener.

What is a dealer code ? Do you mean the check engine light is on ? I had a hose blowing off. It turned out my electric cooling fans were not coming on due to a blown fuse.
