atom you speak truths - but sell it or not, I need to get it running.

here's a little updated info: there is no OBDII codes when selecting "READ DTC" ; however, today I selected "PEND DTC", and P1336 came up (camshaft sensor circuit).
to the best of my understanding, when the communication between the crank+cam sensors and the ECU is disrupted (such as when I replaced the engine), then a relearn procedure is needed.

Brutal - JTO - anyone else.....Do you think a cam sensor relearn might solve my problem?? I'm 100% certain that the idiots that did my engine swap did not do a relearn. Please share your thoughts.

If you have a failing or improperly timed cam sensor, the starting will be delayed while the ECU finds another data path. This could be the source of the problem.

Default Camshaft and crankshaft sensor

I'm going to try replacing camshaft and crankshaft position sensors. I was told by my mechanic that they don'y show in car diagnostic system, but they are about to go out. After replacing MAF, coils, spark plugs, fuel injectors. Vanden Plas 2004 105k.

I'm not sure why you are posting on a thread that's almost ten years old instead of starting a new one.

You need to show what codes have been stored, and more important, find a mechanic who does not keep throwing parts on the car because he doesn't know what's wrong. You are wasting a lot of money.
