Default Compliments galore!

I've owned MANY cars over the years, and this is my first Jaguar.

I've owned some "cool" cars and some "classic" cars, but I have NEVER and I mean NEVER had as many compliments on ANY of my previous cars like I have had with my XJR!

Not a day goes by that I don't get a compliment, a "thumbs up" or some kind of positive feedback from random people.

I know the car is beautiful. I chose the X308 over the X350 because I thought the X308 had more classic "Jaguar" lines.

What has surprised me is that how many compliments I get.

The other thing I found out is that women LOVE these cars!

Over half of the compliments I get are from women.

I find that interesting.

I don't think any of my previous cars got noticed by the opposite sex.

Guys LOVED my '66 442 and my '64 Impala, but those cars were practically invisible to females.

Anyway, on the way home today, I got two compliments on the XJR from women, and I thought I'd share.

I think the x308 is one of the the most beautifully sculpted, well proportioned, classy and well executed cars.... ever.....might be a bit biased.....nah, balanced view. Allan

There are tons of X308's in Florida, so the comments and thumbs up aren't everyday, but at least once a week! I love this car!

Thumbs up watch out for the boyfriends

wait until a couple of young ladies detach themselves from their companions to ohh and ahh over the car while their companions hang back and grit their teeth.

Great job Stewart! You've done a lot of work to it so you deserve the compliments, especially from the Ladies :-) ... I'm in S.Fla so the amount of luxury cars here is like nothing I've ever experienced anywhere, however I'm at the beach a few times a week and I do get many compliments on my "old" 01 XJR! Now after completing my detail job, I'm back to the beach to get some more looks!

Yep. Sometimes it's downright embarrassing ! I feel bad for all those econobox drivers ! They wanted cheap transportation. That's what they got. You see the jealousy in their eyes as they drive by in their Toyotas with an iPhone 5 stuck to their ear.

My XJR attracts all sorts of attention. My wife is uncomfortable driving it, due to all the attention.

Oh, and let's keep the whole hot babe magnet thing just between us here on the forum... lol

Since I got my X308, nothing else seems to measure up, my perspective seems to have been irevocably corrupted...in a good way....and I have noticed how prevalent the ugly, dull, bland and mindless pulp of 'econo-boxes' that the car industry churns out under the guise of practicality is......rant over, going for a lie down in darkened rubber-room..........Allan

THAT is funny

My wife has not driven my Jaguar yet.

She says it is "too pretty" and is afraid to damage something.

My 25 year old daughter did drive it.

Turned off traction control and put it in sport mode.

Told her to punch it.

It was fun watching her reaction to how quick the car is

My friend saw some random college girls taking pictures with a cell phone camera of themselves kissing my car's hood ornament at about 3am 2 weeks ago. We had no idea who they were. Haha.

I have also seen tourists from Japan take pictures of my parked car a while back.

Sooo I agree, these cars get a bit of attention.

Just yesterday while inside the gas station, paying for my fuel, I saw a guy across the street casually snapping pics of my XJR with his cell phone.
