A Few problems with install
The attached file (thanks to Jim Roal) is the most helpful treatise on installing Bluetooth phone adapters using the stock Jag wiring - it really works beautifully.. great phone sound at both ends - ppl can't tell I'm hands free in a car, even at 70 mph!
Also, near the end, is a description of adding an AUX in, for direct input to the stereo for iPods, Sirius/XM radio, etc.; and when combined with one of the current common Bluetooth phone adapters (like the Motorola T605) will also send streaming Bluetooth audio MP3 files from your cell phone, or other BT device to the stereo, which sounds awesome! I added a bit extra, a relay to allow selection between the AUX in and the CD changer... a pictorial description also attached below.
BTW, I also leave my button in Sport mode (LED on)... it just feels and drives better, mileage be damned.

I have a few questions about the install. First of all I have a 1999 Jaguar XJ8L. I removed the interior of the arm rest and pulled the radio and I installed the microphone in the ceiling console.
But from there I had a few problems, There weren't any wires routed to my arm rest. Hmm I thought so I'll just come off the wires directly from the back of the radio, this idea seemed to be working until I realized some of the colors from you diagram weren't present at my radio. (White/Green , Brown/Purple). Any thoughts about my problem. Also was I suppose to remove the bottom of ash tray, couldn't figure out how to remove it, but figured it didn't matter since there weren't any wires routed through anyway.
