1999 XJ8 A27
Hi Guys, went back through archives and did not find the answer so I will ask my friends here.
Finding coolant along right side of engine under manifold. I am figuring it is probably the coolant hose that runs front to back under the manifold. Ordered hose and ready to install, but will the new hose wiggle through the tight channel the old one is in, or will i have to remove the manifold ?
Cheers

I don't think it can be done without removing the intake manifold. While you have it off, it's a good time to clean the throttle body, all the electrical connections and replace the other two hoses that go under there. There are two heater hoses that I replaced with regular hoses from an auto parts place, the other is the part load breather hose, which is only available as a Jaguar part AFAIK. It is not as hard as you might think to remove the IM. Oh yeah, the intake manifold seals (o-rings) will be needed, but no sealer. The seals pop into little grooves, very nice. It's not heavy labor, but finesse that does it. Make sure the heater hoses lie on the pad in the IM valley. That keeps them off the hot aluminum.
