Coolant Hoses Parts Numbers?
#21
XJRguy -- Very interesting TB -- great information when you need to get to those hoses. I believe one of the technicians on the forum had a quick way to fix one of them?
The most interesting part for me is that now we know the coolant -- Havoline XLC extended life. Also ------ see what Jaguar wanted the service people to do before replacing the older (green) fluid. I believe the change over was for model year 2000. my x300 and first x308 had the green.

What a mess it was!

I guess my 98 VDP was yellow not green -- I remember seeing a lot of my 95 vdp's green coolant -- when the head gasket failed! Thankfully...under warranty.
My memory is that the XJR tales 10 liters -- they are showing it holding quite a bit more? Confusing?
I only purchased 1 5 LT jug -- I thought that you could get about 8 out of the system with a simple drain??

Hey guys - Coolant Hose Thread - too much Coolant Fluid Stuff
Hi
First I like to say Thank you to xjrguy for the part numbers and their use information in post #2.
I know many members like to discuss Coolant Fluid, but I was trying to keep this thread on concentrated on Coolant/Heating hoses.
The goal was to use this tread as a source of information about Hose sources, part numbers, prices, and DIY on hoses replacement information.
Please do not dilute this tread with other information. I do not mean to offend anyone. But............................................... .....................
A lot of work and time has been expended getting the information and sources related to these hoses.
It gets hard to find the posts that relate to thread's title when there are so many other posts in the thread.
Please start a new thread to discuss Coolant fluid or add to one of many already existing coolant fluid threads.
Thank you for your cooperation.

I am replacing Thermostat tower plus its hose & Raditor hoses
Hi Sirjag
I placed an order with Rock Auto Parts this morning. Boy do they have low prices onthese URO hoses. The three hoses:
from Rock Auto Parts totaled about $37 plus $10 shipping
the local auto parts store was about $85 with tax
and the Jag dealership was about $113 with shipping.
NCA2213AC (AJ85313) $1.85 Bypass hose - heater and air conditioning
MNC4505AD $7.28 Radiator Upper hose
MNC4515AD $27.79 Radiator Lower hose
I will get everything installed by my friend/mechanic by the middle of next week. Labor probably will be about $150 for replacing the thermostat tower, thermostat, and the hoses.

Hi Jim,
Great... I'm glad you found their prices to your liking. I like RockAuto... good service and excellent prices. I'm also liking AdvanceAutoParts... super professional and great selection.
My mechanic comes tomorrow. Lots of jobs for him. I need to run out early and get clamps which I forgot. I assume the ones at Ace Hardware are the same at an auto parts store. I was told by a mechanic that the ones used by Jaguar are really one-time use only clamps.
