Seriously, Duck Duck Go is your answer? I dont understand why you so consistently answer questions with non-answers. Im new here, just looking for some help. In return, Im doing my best to also share everything I learn along the way. Why give a noob a hard time for no apparent reason? I found the site, but am still a little unsure which hose I should be looking for for the bottom radiator hose. If Ive offended you somehow since I joined up here, please, let me know. TIA

I just spent 20 minutes searching for a lower hose for a '99 XJR. Looked at Advance, O'Rilley, AutoZone, SNG Barrett, eBay, Amazon and a global search on the WWW. No lower hose available except one used on eBay.
OK, I guess that you are going to have to scrap your car.
You have, I think, a AJ26 engine used in the '99 XJR.
I would suggest that you give a call to SNG Barrett, a sponsor of this forum, or Coventry West which do a lot of 'out of the box' parts supply.

Hey Multi-
I had an experience when I first bought a car. I had that same error message come up when the coolant wasn't low. But the car was new to mew and it was on "the list". Some other things that were on the list were the dash lights, some were out.
So I remover the cluster and replaced the bulbs and never got that error message again.
I'm wondering what I may have moved or benefited from unplugging that harness and plugging it back in.
There are two ground points back there as well. I wonder if a low voltage problem could be occurring from a bad ground…?
I'm sorry if you've already answered this question somewhere else in the thread. But, have you done a hard reset yet?
Thanks, sorry if this has already been covered.
-Mitch

Thanks for sharing that Mitch, thats very interesting. I did try the hard reset early on, but at this point Ive tracked down the leak. Thankfully its still a small leak, but Ive already ordered a new water pump, thermostat, thermostat gasket, upper and lower coolant hoses. Once all the parts are here Ill have an indy install them. Until then Ill just keep a close eye on the coolant

Sometimes the float in the reservoir sticks: a small stick can loosen it up. Happens because once upon a time (all good stories start that way) POs mixed coolants between green and Dexcool. A sticking float will give you a low coolant warning.
Separate issue: Google can help you find parts: MOTORCARSLTD.com has lower radiator hoses available:

I like Duckduckgo because they don't track you.

Awhile ago I got the "COOLANT IS LOW" message. When I unscrewed the cap I also heard the 'gulp' mentioned. The coolant level was visibly low. I topped it up and have not had any warning since. I have checked it ocassionally and it appears to be holding the same level. However, I still hear the 'gulp' every time I check it. I can find no sign of leakage. There may be a miniscule leak somewhere in the system.
