Default Cooloing sys.

Well friends I'm having a problem. Water hose keeps blowing off thermostat head. Replaced hose and clamps and still blows off. I have ordered a new aluminum thermos kit. I'm know there has to be something else causing this and I'm afraid it could be a head gasket.
Any ideas on what else it could? When I get the thermostat installed. I will start looking for the cause. Thanks for any assistance that you could offer.

If you remove the water filling cap, does this sitill occur?

If you have a blown head gasget.. the sparkplug for that cylinder would look like new... steamcleaned.. and or it would puch cold water out of the water fill..

White smoke from exhaust?

Normally.. if the water gets to hot/pressure to high... the water gets pushed out to the expansion can first... plastic container under the ABS unit.

If that is a 4.0 you should also replace the crossover pipe. As those plastic parts age the hoses do tend slip off, but you may also have a thermostat sticking.

Once again: check the black overflow pipes coming out of the reservoir; they need to cross over each other: one goes to the radiator, the other to the overflow bottle under the left fender. If they are incorrectly installed, parallel to each other and not crossing, pressure will build.

That said: blown head gasket would be first choice.

Well I replaced the thermostat housing with a new metal part, replaced thermostat, and flushed and replace coolant. so far all is good. Some driving to see if all works ok. Thanks for the advise.
