Replacing my rear bulbs & one is corroded so it will not release & I do not want to put too much force & break it off in the socket. Normally I'd just have @ it with force & or pliers but as sensitive as these cars with electrical sensors etc. I want to be gentle lol.
I hit it w/ electrical contact cleaner & a brush, still will not budge.
Any tips,thanks.
Edit : Those are finicky bulbs I soaked it in contact cleaner & pried w/ pliers fitted w/ rubber ends it finally released. On a plus note after I cleaned the contacts/bulb holder my annoying "Check Rear Lights" is history.

I should soak it in WD40 for a night, then use needle pliers to grip on the part just below the glass.
Be prepared the glass breaks, so cover it.
If the glass breaks, you probably got a better grip, so that is not necessarily a bad thing.
With a bit of force and some distortion of the base, it will probably come out.

Yes I basically did just that & it released. Just I'm extra cautious dealing w/ this car lol. Those bulbs back there get really hot, really fast, makes me tempted to look into the LED route back there but then again I don't want any warning messages.
