Quite the opposite. Not stealthy or quiet. When you jump on it, it goes WAHHAAAA

i am currently redoing my xpipe, and installing downpipes with highflow cats as well will have it done with pics in a few hours. I will try a vid but not that easy to do with my phone an me lol. The old xpipe location according to the scortch marks was not optimum so did a better location.

Not optimal for the stock cats or the new downpipes?

Was that 18 inches from the trailing cat flange to the center of the X? What do you think it should be now?

It acually ended up being around 24 inches away from the trailing edge of the cat, is it the best spot who really knows but just following the scorch marks LOL

So the scorch mark was 24 inches after the flange joint following the cat? Or from the end of the cat itself?

Nice to read this,
i'm working too on an nice sound from my XJR...
At the moment i've tryed different combinations: first muffler straight, second and rear standart, sounds ok but i think too silent
2. First and second straight, rear original, sounds good but if you open the throttel wide it sounds very aggressiv...
Last on, complete straight.... sound... World war 3
Now im running combinaton 2

Fruther project, redesign the rear muffler for lower exhaust gas speed and deeper sound like an SL55 AMG

Regards Maxi

Combo #2 .. define "sounds very agressive"

Are you running any type of X or H crossover?

My new down's and new cat's are going in mid august. These new additions will be coupled to my Borla cat back exhaust (Love the Borla Sound). I will post a video of the sound inside and out. I was thinking of putting in electric cut outs after the cat's when this Cat needs to get really angry/// I remember when I did my engine swap thinking to myself those are the worst bends and cat's I had ever seen.

It sounds a bit like a Corvette with headers and no exhaust...

Yes i'm running a small H-Pipe which fitted in the original pre muffler

might sound like a dumb question but are the mufflers at the end of the exhaust and then the resonators are in the middle?

False!

My wife is asian. I once had a couple approach us and ask if her parents were asian too. That qualifies as a dumb question
