There is another forum member on a quest to build a beast of an AJ34. Might be someone to talk to about the details if you're thinking to start a rebuild project.

It sounds more like a nasty kitten too me ;-)

Don’t know the total costs of that conversion, but with what’s listed I would guess in the $$.$$$ range, which is a lot of doh for the relative small gains imho, but you may call me biased ;-)

A bigger engine was always on my list to do as well, and exactly one year ago I started with my 4.8 ltr project which is actually just finished. Have no idea how it will work out with the choices I have made (budget constraints…), but have clocked so far 2Kmiles and will gradually up the power to see how far I can get.

Please let me know, because I'm nearly ready to upgrade my super v8 and wanted to combine your TS kit with a bigger engine

Indeed super interesting!!!!
Same here, also want to built up a 4.8+ engine.
Block, Heads etc are still here, but i can't decide which way to go with the sleeves.... and that's an annoying point!
