Default Customer introduction video

Fun watch. This is the official customer introduction
video for Jaguar X308. I found out many useful things.
It is orated in an upperclass British accent so it is best
viewed while drinking tea and relaxing

I have a similar audio-only version on CD, came with the car. Quite fun.

I have a BOX full of those kinds of CDs from working at the dealer years ago.
Many times the sale dept would set a box of those kinds of things next to the door for the trash when the closets and bins would get cleaned.

When the newer models came out, the old sales brochures and other merchandise were scrapped and replaced with the new stuff.

Someday I'll go through my collection and see what I have.

I bet that would yield some very informative and entertaining material for various models

These X308 videos take me right back to working as a young engineer at Jaguar Whitley- in Coventry.

The X100 was launched, the X308 just received the V8 and suspension mods over the X300.

The publicity videos with either Eta James singing or Shirley Basey are engraved firmly into my mind.

Geof Lawson was a legend to me and will always remain so.

The S type was still to be launched and there was only light murmurings of an X type. There was a covered up S type in one of the labs, and me and my friend couldn't help but go back from the canteen to the powertrain office via the lab, sneaking in , pulling up the covers and just gawp.

Jaguar had started making Ford Money. We had just introduced the V8 in a few platforms to many accolades, and the performance work that I was involved in, the cams, intake, exhaust, chamber work was in evidence all around.

Thanks for posting that video! I found a handful of 'features' I didn't even know my VDP had.
