The 10 and 1 number is for orientation in the pic as you are looking for Left Heelboard fuse number 9 ( 10 amp ) and 12 ( 5 amp ) . After you establish speaker function you will need to bridge the shield an the tan group as the shield grounds though the head unit and not on the other end through the final amplifier . They are very sensitive wires

....... Good workmanship on the splices and shrink wrap but remember to bridge the shield as thy are susceptible to giving you distortion if not . Speaker repair using same original parts as mine were rotten foam surrounds giving bad sound quality ?

If you have the factory premium system with final amplifier you will not need the crossover . You can remove one of the door panels and you will see the speaker rot of the surrounds outside of the rigid cones to frame pieces that you keep .

No . The signal degrades as you go through devices as well as converting a signal through the FM receiver . A better sound bypasses all that as a line in jack that taps into the cassettes tie in point to the rest of your stereo head unit . Easy to do .
