Default Diy book

Does anyone know if they make a DIY book for a 2000 XJR. I have been looking online but no luck.

Thanks,
Wil

I haven't found anything via external sources. I've been on this forum for a few months, and have downloaded dozens of threads and related files, which in total probably constitute a book. For example, there are wiring diagrams and service guides by Jaguar to be found here, and many many useful postings by individuals. Jaguars seem to have maybe a dozen or so common failure points.

I've used this as a good starting point, along with the JTIS disc you can download on here. Also of use is the electronic parts catalogue again downloaded from here. With this collection of data, you can tackle pretty much anything, as long as you have the specialist tools.......

This site is an excellent source of information and materials for DIYers with one caveat... With a site this large and so many "shade treers" developing their own "home brew" repair procedures, there is a good dose of bad practice mixed in with the good stuff. The challenge is sifting through the good and bad, or literally incorrect diagnoses. Also, the search for information can become a burden as, at times, technical information is "debated" sometimes resulting in the wrong info appearing to rise to the top.

The best advice is to search out technical information provided by the ASE techs/factory techs. There are plenty on this board and they've answered just about any technical questions that are consistently raised.
