Default Does anyone know about this?

I am planning on doing a radiator flush and as I read through the steps on the service instruction from the below PDF, I see that there is a Radiator Flush Kit containing 2 solutions. The kit is of Part No. JLM 20361. However, I've called my local jaguar dealership as well as other outside of my area and they all say it has been discontinued.

Does anyone know of what I can use to do this flush that is equivalent to what is in that flush kit as indicated in this service file?

Please look at this link under page 4, #25 and page 9.

Are you doing this because the heater core is plugged, or just because it seems like a good idea?. Your auto parts stores probably have flush chemicals that will work, since just about everyone has a aluminum radiator now. Just flushing with water works good unless you have a problem, finish with distilled before adding antifreeze.

I am going to be doing the water pump and the thermostat. I figure since I am at it, might as well do a complete flush.

By the way, will a clogged heater core cause overheating? My car seems to overheat if the A/C is on and the car sits in traffic. That is why I am trying to change the water pump and the thermostat. Thanks

Don't forget to verify operation of the radiator fans. They are probably the cause of the greatest number of AC related overheating problems.

My XJR was getting hot in So. Cal traffic the other day. I knew it wasn't a thermostat, because I replaced that 6 months ago. One of the cooling fans was bad. Unfortunately it seems that you have to replace both of them as it is only sold as an assembly (not cheap). I did though, and all is well.
