Question Doing Timing Chains & Tensioners - Are these the correct parts ?

I am in the middle of doing my timing chains etc and I am at the point of re-assembly with the new parts. I am doing the primary and secondary.

Now having carefully recorded with my marker pen and camera which parts came from where and looking at the new parts I have BritishParts I wondering if they are correct.

Specificaly the straight primary guides have a slot at one end and a hole at the other. The hole should be at the bottom through which a bolt goes to retain them. The slot goes over the pin.

Now on the new parts the holes and slots are at opposite ends ??? Assuming the lip on the guides should be at the rear as per the originals.

Here is photo of the old parts in place before they were removed :

Here are the new on old parts laid out next to each other, new parts are on the right :

Dear Sean

Thanks again.

So to confirm it for sure, the bolt now goes through the elongated hole and the top pin through the round hole ?

My parts look the same as your pic and indeed those supplied NE Jaguar. eg : Jaguar V8 Timing Chain Kit - Detailed item view - Jaguar Spares Northeast
