Doors ajar microswitch fix
I have a 98 jaguar XJR I am having 2 problems. One is for the micro switch in the doors my dash reads drives door open passenger door open rear trunk open. none of my locks work. Is there anyway to fix these?
Other problem is I have a message on the dash when driving it reads ACS anyone have any idea what this is? I googled and it said something about traction control. It only comes on when I am driving the car not when in park.

For your ACS, have you been into your ABS unit and re-soldered the joints that are commonly an issue?

Being from the rainy northwest corrosion may be your problem. Get a can of WD-40 with the red tube and spray down the latching mechanism's doors and trunk. Spray the lock openings also. Then work the doors and trunk by opening and closing a few times.
For the ASC, remove the wheel speed sensors and clean them and also clean the connections on the pig tails. They are simple to remove. They are probably dirty and giving a false speed indication. You may also want to look into the hole where the sensor is removed. If the sensor toothed ring is also corroded give it a good spray. After cleaning rotate each wheel while looking through the sensor hole and make sure the toothed ring is not cracked
