Driver seat "auto" convenience feature - controllable?

Is it possible to influence how far back the seat goes when using the "auto" convenience feature? I really want the seat to go back a couple of inches to get my in a better position to get in and out without destroying the side bolster... but the ruddy thing goes so far back I feel I might as well use the back door instead. Is there a way of controlling/restricting the movement? Lovely feature, but "calm down"!

You can turn off the feature, but I'm not aware of a way to tell it how far back to slide. On the side of the steering column is a knob which controls the telescope and raise/lower feature of the steering column itself. That same knob also twists to an on and off position. That's what turns the convenience feature on or off so your seat won't slide back when you open the door.

I turned it off on my car because it kept hurting my back seat passengers. I just set two of the three memory positions for myself. One is my preferred driving position and the other is my exit position (which really is just the driving position with the wheel all the way up).
I might even experiment with having it move the seat forward a few inches too, because I do fight the B pillar a little bit. Thanks for the tip!
