thanks , i read on the subject thoroughly, however im not clear on one factor. my seat adjustments all function well, the memory settings seem to "take" as i hear the audible chime and see the light go on and off. its only when i lock the doors through the fob. i will check the wiring connections as they suggest, if that doesnt do it, would it definitly be a seat module?

Have you programmed your FOB for the current settings? After setting the memory on the door, within 2 seconds, press a button on your FOB until you hear another ding. That sets your FOB to the setting you just saved. Each FOB can be set to a different Memory if you prefer.
This way, when you enter your car with YOUR fob, it sets everything to YOU.
Your wife can set her own settings on MEM 2 and HER fob. (That is IF you let her drive it)
