My 2000 Vanden Plas seems to have the most dusty brakes on any vehicle I've ever driven. I pulled the wheels off a few weeks ago and cleaned and sealed the wheels front and back and everytime I wash the wheels, it seems like the first 10 miles I put on them and they are all dusty again. They are Jaguar pads all the way around. Do any of you recomend another brand or type. I know ceramic pads are less dusty but their braking power is not as great under cooler temperatures.

Akebono pads. They stop well, low dust and no squeeling. The factory pads are horendous for dust. Always have been.

There must be something about British cars and brake dust. The only car I have seen with dustier wheels than my XJ8 is my Mini Cooper - at least until I had the brakes redone. The brake shop put Akebono pads on the Cooper and it has greatly reduced the amount of dust. I have the five-spoke factory wheels with big openings for brake dust to blow through.
