Easy way to take down trunk partition ?!

The back carpeted panel (forward? furthest away from you when opening the trunk) is held in by two plastic fir tree clips, then you can just fold it down towards yourself (the back of the car) to reveal the gas tank and sub in the upper left. Those sub connectors are a pain to get to, one is worse than the other if i remember.
EDIT: aftermarket sub? Which partition are you talking about? The panel which the back seat backs rest against? That panel is fixed and can't be removed. Is the amp not powering on, or is it signal wiring causing the issue?

After market set-up, the partition that faces you as you look into the trunk, the only one I know of lol.
The wire got ripped from the sub enclosure so I'm sure it's just the connecting wire you see un-hooked. I checked the enclosure's terminals they're fine.

That panel is as said, just the two clips that hold it in - But that's stock. With having the amp attached to.. whatever it is attached to behind it, it's hard to guess what else might be there. Could be a brace that someone placed behind the panel between the gas tank that the amp is screwed into as well which could be holding it in place too.

It was done by my area's best audio shop so I'm sure it's sturdy. I'll take pics when I get back there & update. My initial horror was thinking it ran all the way back to the head unit & I had to back track lol. Gives me an excuse to thoroughly clean the trunk now, I'm finding long blonde hairs back there yet I am a brunette lol.

There's gotta be something behind it to hold it in place - the panel itself wouldn't hold the amp. Even if they got desperate and fender washer'd the backside where the amp mount screws go into, I'd expect it to sag or fall. The only nearby brackets back there from the factory are the two vertical mounts that the plastic clips press into, which is part of the gas tank straps.
From the looks of it there's no obvious wiring issues at the amp itself.
If the panel doesn't fold down after those plastic trees come out, I'd unscrew the amp and see what got put back there behind the carpet.

They just screwed the right sized board to hold flush.
Still my sought after cord went deeper, guess I'll have to take all the carpeting out. Now I see why you have to call "specialists", because they hide the simple stuff intricately lol.

Mind you it was 1 am-ish here as I was precariously balanced over my trunk with a mini mag light in my mouth,clad only in boxer shorts w/ a stiff cocktail sitting dangerously close to the edge of a wobbly car's roof line, trying to snap a damn pic lol. Yeah my neighbors' love me .

Does it have an aftermarket head unit, or factory?
If it's factory, and had premium, and you're really lucky, the audio place realized that the amp located in the trunk has the high level wiring, and they just tapped there instead of connecting the line level adapter near the doors.
If factory and less lucky, the wire was probably fished through a hole in the backseat back panel, under the backseat cushions, under carpeting, and to the speaker wiring somewhere further ahead. That's how it looks with the way the wiring is hanging in the picture. It's also how my car was set up, and the line level converter was attached to the rear driver's side speaker wiring, tucked inside the bottom of the B pillar. Just stripped, wound, and e-taped, not even soldered
If aftermarket HU, pretty much same thing except the wiring will run straight to the HU from the backseat of course.
An easy way to isolate signal vs amp causes, to prevent having to chase all that wiring, is to use a 1/8 in to coax adapter and plug that into the amp, and your phone or other portable music device. If it works with that but not with the signal wiring there, then you know it's signal. If it still doesn't work, there's other issues to chase before the signal wiring.
