Emergency Kit addition

Emergency Kit addition
A few weeks ago I 'm stuck with an over heated XJR , coolant boiled out and trying to refill the radiator with frequent trips to the Burger King washroom refilling paper cups with water , long walk , many trips.
Later I read the posts on items to carry in trunk , put in empty 1 gallon container.
Recently noticed those "box " wine container's plastic bag inside box.Thought it might make a great stowable water container, so folded one up , put a rubber band around it and now have a neat one gallon water container that takes little to no space and has an on/off faucet .
Great for an emergency on a road trip , you know in the middle of no where
by the small stream.

OK, OK.
ALWAYS carry a 10L bladder of RM. You never know when disaster can strike - Sahara Desert, Australian outback, Manchester, that really nice restaurant with a wine list from PricewaterhouseCoopers.
No matter how many DTC's, con rods through the bonnet, hitting a wombat at 60 mph etc. simply settle down, put the Bach solo cello concertos on and tuck in.
If there's a coolant leak just remember (unless you're a Galilean) that a human being is a simple machine for turning wine into water.
The efficiency is only about 80% so you will need to concentrate but YOU CAN DO IT.
JIC there's a serious leak pack also some salted cashew nuts.

Emergency Kit extra but useful any time.
The XJR has no engine light and I thought of hooking up a set of trunk lights to light up the engine bay . However check out these lamps from Autozone {$19.95}
Bell LED Utility Lights P/N 92034-8
Add 6 AA batteries anf thy are great lights
They are magnetic based or come with double faced sticky pads.
For the money they well worth it .
this way you can see what you're really drinkng from the wine bag !
LOL

Emergency Lights
Previously I suggested the Bell Lights 92034-8 for an emergency kit however I found them to be a great tool . Being [magnetic I attach one to some wrenches on the peg board above my work bench ,
When lI need to look into engine bay to see whats in that dark recess I reach for the Bell light turn it on , locate best position for maximum light and attach it to block or frame . Works well for lighting areas you plan to take pictures of { that's before you start taking things apart }
Since there is no cord I am able to position it where ever I want ex:under the dash .
This LED light isl ight weight and goes any where .
Consider one of these for your work area . At $19.95 its a great deal ,
By the way since you get 2 you can attach both to the underside of vehicles hood to really light up the compartment.
