EML light

EML light
I have an issue with my EML light not working on my 2001 XJ8 Sovereign.
How long it has been like it I don't know.
I took the instrument pod out to replace the fuel gauge bulb. I thought I would do the EML light as well. The connector at the bottom of the pod was easy enough, but the 4 smaller white ones at the top have no obvious method of releasing them. Could someone tell me how it's done?
Thanks
Bill W

Hi cybercg , I have just found out that you don't need to remove the 4 white small connectors to split the cluster.
If you remove the clear face to the instrument front.
At the bottom rear pull off the connector.
The socket it plugs into can, along with the 65mm by 35mm cct board it is mounted on, be carefully removed from the 2 white pegs it sits on.
The 4 ribbon connectors can then be carefully slid down the grooves they sit in and the 2 halves can be carefully opened like the page of a book.
I was investigating a non-operative EML light. It turns out that a previous "owner" had removed the LED to stop it coming on.
Me in my stupidity hadn't even realised that it hadn't been coming on even with the ignition!!!
I had been getting upstream O2 sensor faults 1646 and 1647, but no EML light. I was investigating how to split the instrument pod tonight and when I managed to get it open there it wasn't, LED 11 had been snipped out!!!!!!!!!!!
Does anyone know of the correct replacement LED?
