Default engine size questions...

just bought a 2003 jaguar VDP Super V8 and have a couple of questions.

when i've searched the car before, some are saying that the 2003-2009 is a 350 and others are saying its a 308. then, on other web sites, it says the 2003 was SOLD as a 2004.... ????

its the older body style, before they changed it in 2004....so, im assuming its a 308. also, is the 2003 super V8 that RARE of a car? seems like i've heard somewhere that it was the first year that jaguar did the super V8 vanden Plas in 2003.

thanks everyone! this is my second jaguar, and my second VDP. love these cars!

YES - the steel bodied XJ8 is the X308 and the later aluminium bodied model is the X350.

I'll leave it to US members to comment on how rare the Super V8 VdP is in the US.

thanks GGG....its interesting that even on this site, the 2003 is listed for both eras: 1995-2003, 2003-2009.....

but yes, i've stuck magnets on the car and they STICK so its gotta be metal, and its gotta be the 2003 308 size.

Now take that number, 788-and remove all other countries except the USA. Now, figure how many came in your color combo and it gets even more rare.

You are gonna love this car.

Don't confuse model numbers like 308 and 350, with engine displacement.
Yours is a4.0 litre and the X350 has a 4.2.

2003 Super V8 $79,330 in 2003, present value of that money is $100,673.

Have you a labradoodle?

I have a minidoodle 30 lbs 10 years old.

Water Dragon-- I have a miniature poodle, but love all sizes. Love poodles as much as I love the jaguar-- I buy both for the love of the breed cool dog pics!!! Looks awesome!

Wow-- equivalent to 100,000.00 in today's dollars?! Wow, I scored! Over the winter, since I don't have a heated garage and northern Utah winters can be tough, I'm storing it in a big climate controlled warehouse-- this way it will be easier on the car over time

If it's a really big warehouse, you can even get to drive the car during the winter.
