Default Engine is smoking but not overheating?

Hi, just took my car up a hill to test it and this started happening.

No idea where it's coming from but there is some on the driver's side too.

It went away on it's own while driving downhill.

I am having a guess that you do have an engine oil leak (possibly on the cam-cover seals) and the leaking oil is dropping onto the hot exhaust, which results in you having created a "smoke-machine"...

(Note aside: I just built myself a smoke machine (sock with baby-oil and a soldering ion in a jar) and with that I found very easily the leaks in the ducting leading to the air intake - which hopefully solves the riddle of my increased LPG consumption - as the LPG gets ducted into exactly those ducts.... I fixed all the leaks. I did that on my Fairlane.)

Anyway, I had the same "smoking issue" on my X308. It is kind of likely on X308s that the oil wants to leaks from the cam-covers, which have been ridiculously manufactured out of plastic.

In the following thread of mine you can find my ridiculous solution to fix that ridiculous problem...:
