Default Exhaust System 2.5"

Hi!

I´m gonna build a new exhaust system 2.5" stainless steel all the way from the cats. Keeping 4 silencers removing the ones in the middle (second pair), that will be removed and not replaced with new ones. Can Someone tell me how many meters straight pipes I will need and how many bent pipes I will need and in what degrees.

I´m not into fixing with cars so its not gonna be me who will do the fitting its going to be my cousin and I want to order the pipes before I give him the car. Otherwise I will lose it for a couple of weeks...

Thanks!!

You will save lots of money on cuss words if you go 2 1/4" instead of 2 1/2"over the rear axle.

Ask XJR-0220 about this, that was a difficult fitting job I hear.

Honestly I would go with 2 1/4 being that 2.5 is very hard to get up and over the rear axles and on a side note I would say 2 1/4 is pretty much optimum sized

Where did you get the flex pipes from?

In order for side pipes to look good, you need a side skirt, which the XJ don't have.

I know thats not the finish look, you going to need some serious imagination to get that to look good.

Who cares about looks its the power and sound I want. Dosent look worse than it did before anyway
The flexpipes are nonames. But will probably put on 2 straight mufflers at the end on both side. Its almost 2 much..

Gasp! Blasphemy!

Seriously though, interesting idea- I would be interested to see if you get any hp gains.

Would it work better to have an x pipe instead of an h pipe?

I wasn't busting down your XJ with the exhaust setup, I'm not that type of member.

Differently need the X-pipe to see any type of gain. The straights might just be noise HP gain, most likely you losing HP with a setup without a X-pipe.

There are a lot of recent post relating to where to install the X-pipe within exhaust setup.

Read alot about x-pipe... if you aint putting it exxaaactly where it should be you lose HP. And why risk it.
