Factory 255/40/18 tires on factory 8” rims???

I have a feeling that they don’t want to install your tires because you didn’t buy them from their shop. Basically there’s not enough profit being made to warrant them spending any of their valuable time on your car is the vib I’m getting. I think they’re telling you politely to pack sand.

Pack sand!
You’re probably right. Tires and wheels went on today. Previous owner had old tires dated 2012 date.
What a difference.
AWESOME!!!
starting Monday, we’re going to upgrade the old plastic chain tensioners, install the upgraded Bosch water pump for the Supercharger and change all the hoses while we’re in there.
Still debating about the oversize crankshaft pulley. Not sure if it’s a simple straightforward job of just swapping out the crankshaft sounds like there’s some modifications to be done, so not sure just yet. 1999 XJR 70K

Crankshaft sc pulley job is not straightfoward by any means. You need special SC modell pulley puller, crankshaft bolt is torqued really tight, pulley has conical collard that you need to replace with the bolt, there is only one way to pull the pulley out. This is only the start. Then there is the old pulley machining etc. Of course if you are already changing the primary chains and tensioners then the pulley job is halfway done already.
