Hi, dumb question but I thought I'd ask - What is the factory name for the silver on my 2001 VDP?

My 2001 XJ8 VDP has interior code NED with Ivory as the main color. Does anyone know what the color name is for the dash top, the handbrake handle, and the seat piping as part of NED? I would describe it as a medium dark dull olive drab greenish brown. I looked at the Jaguar Paint-Trim Codes file, but the color I would have most supposed, "Coffee," isn't listed for 2001.

 

NED (Ivory) has the Facia upper listed as SABLE as well as the door casing toproll, seatbelts, handbrake grip etc.

Thanks. I wondered about that. I had asked my wife, (the family artist), who said (and the dictionary agrees) that "sable" is generally taken as a very dark brown, almost black. But looks like Jaguar has their own version.
