Factory Phone
#62
Guys, my installer had a lot of problems last week trying to get the Parrot installed in my XJR. Can anyone please provide the wiring schematics for the CD changer wires? I think I have the one for the stock phone, but we need both to wire in the Parrot so I can use the phone and stream music. Any other relevant info, wiring diagrams etc would be greatly appreciated

Yes. IT was a PITA but in the end we wired in the Parrot in place of the factory CD changer and it works flawlessly. Its been a good while now so Ill try to think of any other details, but he basically had to test every wire to see what it did to get it to all work. I love it

I am interested in doing the same install on my 2000 XJR Alpine, when you have your car on FM and you receive a call how does it switch to the parrot and request the CD input?
Seems like the optimum way would be to figure out a crack/hack and make the input for the phone inside the existing radio a stereo input instead of mono. Anyone has an old factory radio I can reverse engineer?
