Fault Code P1260

My Jaguar was left for 3 months in a garage and the battery went flat. I took the battery out and got it charged up by the Battery company. I connected it back up and all the lights popped up as usual then turned the key and nothing.
I plugged in my ODBII reader and it came up with P1260 - Security input./Theft detected, vehicle immobilized./Theft detected - engine disabled.
I have looked on line and there are all sorts of solutions, mainly a locksmith or take it to a dealer, which is impossible as the car cannot be moved. Don't wish to spend money on it as I need to sell it as failed MOT but would like to be able to start the car and easier to sell.
I did see that one idea was a cold re boot to reset the system.
Would appreciate anyone's help with this problem.
Many thanks
Joseph

If the battery was dead that long, the chances of that battery being brought back to life is slim to none. Yes, I know the lights are on but all the computers in the car need proper amps and volts while the engine is cranking over is imperative. Yes, I know the engine won’t crank now but once you get your other key to try, then that’s when you’ll need a strong battery.

Sorry I dont understand.
The reply I had from the tec was about trasmission warning light not the fault code P1260.
Still waiting to see if anybody can help with this problem. Alas I do not have a spare ket to try it.
Finally I have all my car specs on my signature.
Would appreciate anyones assistance.
Thank you

If you've got P1260 then you have no choice but to find a fix for that. Forget anything else until that is fixed.
If to fix it you need a 2nd key and to get both programmed, then do so. Not saying you do need to do that (read up on P1260 if you don't want to pay a jag tech!) but whatever you do you need rid of P1260 and the trans is irrelevant until then.
