Good taste in vehicles! I see you hve 254k on your XJR, that's good to hear. Hope mine lasts as long.

I guess I need to update that. I’m at 260K now. Still going strong on the original engine.

That's fantastic to hear. Assuming you did timing chains, guides, and tensioners at some point? What other issues have you had with the car? Still on the original transmission?

I upgraded the head gaskets to the 4.2 MLS gaskets, had replaced every exhaust valve (this is when it had 232K about 5 years ago) and performed a painstaking valve adjustment while the heads were off, replaced every gasket and seals on the engine, I took out the front subframe (December 2018) and replaced every bushing & V mounts, engine and transmission mounts, upgraded the front knuckles and replaced the wheel bearings, upgraded the headlights and all exterior peanut bulbs to leds, rebuilt the supercharger and upgraded S/C intercooler pump, recovered so far the rear seat leather, I have the fronts but was waiting on the warmer weather to heat it up so it’ll be easier to install. I installed 19” BBS Montreal’s after I had them powder coated... there’s other things but it’s small stuff and too much typing. The transmission was replaced about 1.5 years ago. The original one that was in it was rebuilt by some transmission shop before I got the car and it gave up. I located a very low mileage one and installed it and is still going strong.
