First storm of the year! Sunroof leaking.
Hello everyone! Well today marks one of the first major storms here in California! The weather leading up was light rain; then at 3 pm ( Pacific standard time ) a major storm hit my area. Before you know it, there was thunder, lightning, and sleet! I rushed to the Jag soaking wet and I noticed all of the windows were foggy. I figured it was the temp outisde / inside difference but I looked up and low and behold; a huge leak coming from the sunroof. The headliner that's near the sunroof was soaked. It wasn't too bad; and the headliner stayed in good shape despite being wet. I figured that's what caused the windows to be foggy in the first place.
I'm going to take the Jag to a British Auto repair shop so the leaks can get sealed which needs to be fixed before el Nino comes this winter and creates more storms like this. I think the only way to fix the seals would be to open the sunroof and the sunroof isn't functioning. Figured I would have the sunroof fixed along with the leaks. As of tonight I put a tarp over the sunroof so more rain won't penetrate the seals. Hopefully my headliner won't stain.
Besides that, driving in the storm was quite fun. I do have to admit; I was a little scared. Just the fact that the sleet was so bad I could barely hear the radio or the thunder was so loud it shook the Jag. Quite an experience. Took some pictures while stopped.
P.S: Our cars are built for this weather correct?
Thanks for reading & have a good week everyone!

Got the Jag back today; turns out it was the outer seal on the outside of the sunroof. It wasn't adequate enough after normal wear and tear and had to be replaced. Cost $320.00 for parts and labour; might be a bit much but considering I no longer need to worry about leaving the Jag in the rain and damaging the headliner; It's an ok price.
Also found out that every track, clip, ect to the sunroof is broken. Not too sure what happened in the past but probably when new headliner was being installed someone tampered with the tracks, ect and left it that way. Not to mention they took out the sunroof module ( which is worth a few hundred no? ) and probably threw it away. To fix everything would be in excess of $1,500 not to mention there's limited sunroof parts these days for our cars. Guess I can live with out the sunroof...
