Default Fitting an aftermarket stereo

Hi Guys.

Trying to get a converter lead for my x308 2001 v8 exec.

I'm being given conflicting info from dealers that I speak to. I need to go from jag sockets to iso. I think it has the power ampfitted. I have attached a photo of the car plugs. It also has steering control. I am being told that the cd changer is also supported. Any help appreciated.

TIA

What make are the speakers? Alpine = power amp (Ai net nightmare) Harmon = non.

I don't know of any iso adaptor for Jag's and went down the road of hacking the cd for direct input for ipod (phone) for music. I thought long and hard about a double din, I have the Alpine system - but it would have meant a total rewire for me to have it working as I liked. I just uprated all the speakers and cable, added an amp and 2 transducer units under the front seats. Kept the head unit and look of the centre console.

First off there are many threads on stereo replacements, one as recently as Mar that Jennifer had. But here's a link... JagRepair.com - Jaguar Repair Information Resource ...use the site search and put in 2001 XJ wiring diagram. It'll probably say 1998, but its the same. You'll get a complete layout of the stereo except for one little area, and that is if its the premium setup. It doesn't show that, but does give you the base model layout and color codes.
I had to meter mine out and replum some wiring for mine a couple years ago.
