Nice Supersport, good to see that it arrived OK, and pretty quickly too.

Great service Gonzo. Kudos.

Look forward to the install pics when the weather bucks up.

A big thanks to all who entered this drawing, and to those who didn't win I can of course help you through my site at Hoodliners.net !

HUGE, HUGE, IMMENSE thanks to all the moderators and the admin of this wonderful forum for allowing me to do these liner giveaways!

Packaged Very Well...

And, it Looks Awesome!

A Business Card, Directions, and the Decal were rolled up inside the liner.

Unfortunately, the new thread with installation photos will have to wait just a little bit. We are being pummeled with rain right now, and I don't have an enclosed space to work in at the moment. But, as soon as I get a clearing, I will get this installed, and post a new thread.

Thank you again tbirddmnd, and everyone involved in this giveaway.

Flash news, due to an offer he could not refuse SuperSport has decided to redonate his liner to the forum membership.

As a result of this, the Draw has been remade this morning. Sunday 09 12 2012. Using Random.org to generate the sequence as per usual to give everyone an equal second chance.

And I'm pleased to announce that the 'new' winner is number 90 TopHatChef.

Naturally we will expect full installation pictures etc.

Congratulations TopHatChef, not bad to win a competition that you didn't know was taking place.

Yes, I'm sorry I got rid of my XJR, but I've been needing a 4x4 for a while and an unexpected offer came in that I could not refuse. I did replace it with a 2003 Land Rover Discovery II though, so I still get some of the British Spirit I've fallen in love with. Many of the luxuries from the Jag but added traction.

Congratulations TopHatChef! It's on a UPS truck headed to you as I write.

And again, THANK YOU Gonzo! This way, TWO people are getting a nice surprise. It really is a nice product.

PS: I'll check in occasionally with you all. And who knows, I may be back with another Jag in my future. I REALLY miss it already.

PPS: My License Plate will likely be available soon. The buyer was registering it in Nevada.

Well all your hard won knowledge might not be lost. Does that model share the same engine?

I believe the Discovery II has basically the same engine as the Discovery I except that the Disco II engine is a 4.2 instead of a 4.0. It's funny, because I have two British vehicles with 4.0 litre V-8s, but they are as different as night and day. One is dual overhead cam, 32 valve, VVT, high-revving engine and the other is a low-rev push rod engine based on a 1960's Buick design. Both fun though.

Unfortunately, I could not afford the SuperCharged V8 model. This 4.6L V8 is strong, but the vehicle is heavy, so it's not a race car by any means.

Here, I've attached a couple photos of it.

Very cool item. I keep my Jag pretty clean the engine compartment is like showroom condition. A lot of people who look at my Engine can't believe I drive my car every day even in the harsh New England weather. Very hard to do when you have a daily driver. This hood liner would catch even more attention when I show my car at the local Brit and Jag car events!
john, did you ever order a liner. which decal did you choose? i have a 2-4" chunk out of mine that was covered in black tape.
it looks to me like about 10 or so grommets and it drops down. also a question your engine bay, how to you recommend cleaning , mine needs it. i did
see jaguar has a bulletin about being careful with a pressure washer, but i feel thats what it takes.

No I didn't I had it on my to do list Then my 98 white Jag XJ8L was stolen and wrecked so I passed. I did replace it with a 2003 VDP after and just kind of forgot about the whole thing.

Default Hood Liner supplier from Canada pasted away

This gentleman passed away a long time ago. Since then I have communicated with his daughter that was trying to restart business. I don’t think she had time, but did provide me with a liner for a 2004 XJ VDP. However, because manufacturers sent him threatening letters, she was no longer to provide un licensed emblems. FYI it was a nice product.
