Front End Issues-Please Help!
Hello Chaps!
I've had the rear wheel bearings replaced on my 2001 XJ8 and the rear suspension tweeked. However when my mechanic took the car on a road test he called me straight away as he was alarmed at what he had discovered. It turns out my front crossmember is all messed up and the mounts need replacing .
Because he is going away for Christmas & New Year he has asked could I order the parts, which I'm happy to do. However he has told me to get "Front Crossmember Mounts" and I can't seem to find these.
Is there another name for them and how many should I need?
Thanks Guys!!

I don't have the parts diagrams for the XJ cars but at the top of the XK8/R forum is a FAQ Sticky. Near the top are links for parts diagrams. Download #1 and on page 35 you will find the XK cross member mounts. Cannot verify they are the same but much of the XK/XJ engine/transmission is the same.
At least gives you a place to start.

Thanks Guys, I think I know what I'm after and looking at the parts website I won't have to pay a lot for the parts (The labour on it will be costly I think!). With him having the front end in bits I'm gonna have the front suspenion bushes replaced to save having to disassemble the front twice.
