Default Front Hub Spring Pin - MJA1845AD

Is this thing made of gold? $30 dollars for what looks like a $2 dollar part. Is there a substitute?

Extra long cotter pin or 2 short ones.

Avoid getting a steel cotter pin too close to the sensor. You don't want to disrupt the toothed wheel segment spacing or damaging the sensor itself.

I would do without the lock before I damaged the sensor or screwed up the signal.

I reused mine when I did the front wheel bearings. didn't see the need to replace something that wasn't broken and everything works just fine

Thanks. Got new ones from SNG.

Certainly would have reused old but one of them broke on removal.
