front weel bearing..?
hi everyone... I was wondering if theres any way of changing the bearing without the special tool ? and are there any other "surprises" like special toll or is it the only problem?
and can I loose the wheel if it mooves a little ( when i lifted the car I tryed to moove the weel, it mooves a little, could see the abs ring mooving) ofcourse there is a sound coming from the bearing when driving but its not that loud ( a bad bearing sound)

As I understand it, you will still have to press the old bearing out and then press the hub back in to reassemble. You may want to wait for a second opinion confirming this to make sure I'm correct. You do need the special tool. We have them $150.
You don't want to run too long on a bad bearing. You can damage the hub and the housing.

I have allready ordered the bearing, I have to whait one week for it to arrive so I wonder if it will last for one week driving intown speeds... I have changed (not myself) other bearing before and it sounded really bad (before change) when the car was driven, but this one is pretty silent..... yea.... guess i'll take it to the mechanic and let him handle it, hopefully this bearing will last for the week and if not I will tell you how does it feel when it brakes up
