Default Fuel pump or relay issue

Hi Folks,

Every now and then my X308 V8 refuses to start. On further inspection realized that the fuel is not reaching the engine so it's either the fuel pump or a relay switch, according to my mechanic, he reckons the pipes are not blocked, not sure how he came to that assumption. This happened again a few days ago.

I started the engine today and hey presto! the engine started. So it seems to be an intermittent problem ... which occurs once every month or 2 months and fixes itself, but need to sort this out otherwise could get stranded somewhere!

I only use the car on average, once a week or every 10 days. Recently changed the fuel filter due to this problem but didn't help.

Would be really grateful for any advice if someone has dealt with this issue before or had similar problems

Many thanks

The relays by your fuel pump relay(relays if you have a supercharger) are all the same. So you can switch them and see if it starts at all times. Your symptoms rule out a fuse. If the fuse is bad, it would never start.
