Fuel Pump Replacement...things learned

Ok, as suspected to fuel lines were reversed! after moving them to the proper position, I now have fuel at the shrader valve in the engine bay. I still need to check the pressure. Question, if checking the fuel pressure should I jump out the relay to cause the pump to run continually? thanks for the PIC!
At this time I still have not been able to start the engine. still need to check the spark and other things.
I don't mean to hijack the thread. My main reason for posting was to find out if the lines could possibly be crossed. the answer is yes they will go into either port, so be careful and pay attention when removing to ensure they go back to the proper position.

Protip: Befriend a skinny lanky long armed person. They are invaluable on car work!
