Fuel tank breather blocked? How to check

My '98 XJR has been laid up for a long time and I'm gradually recommissioning it. It's therefore not really used fuel in any quantity/rate for as long as I've had it.
After running it to the MOT the other day, when I removed the fuel cap I got the typical hiss which is normally caused by blocked breathers and the engine trying its best to suck the tank flat.
Can anyone tell me where the tank breathers are routed and where they tend to get blocked? I could do with fixing it before I put any real miles on it.
Thanks
