Full Jaguar EPC Download, with complete install instructions.
Brought to you by BuckMR2, hosted by me. This started in the X-Type section, I moved it over to the S-Type section, but I wanted to share it with the rest of the guys with other models as well.
Please don't link this to other sites or be ridiculous, this is on one of my personal servers. About 50mbps Bandwidth.
Completely Edited now with screenshots and step by step install instructions. These instructions are for windows 7 32 bit. No difference in 64 bit EXCEPT you have to enable the 32bit browser as default!
First, before downloading the file, you need to make sure you have winrar installed. This is the program that you will use to extract the files to your computer.
You can get winrar free of charge from here:
IF you have a 32 bit operating system, Click on this link:
http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar393.exe
IF you have a 64 bit operating system, click on this link:
http://www.rarlab.com/rar/winrar-x64-393.exe
Once you have winrar Installed, click on the link to download the EPC.rar file:
http://www.itprosondemand.com/jaguar/EPC.rar
Save the file to your desktop just for convenience. You will be deleting this file when you are finished.
Once the download has finished you will see the following icon on your desktop:
IF the icon doesn’t look like that (The 3 books stacked like that), you have not properly installed winrar, you need to repeat step one.
Double Click on the EPC.rar icon and winrar will open, at first at the lower left you will see it counting files, once it is done, you will get a menu that this is a trial version, just click on close.
Then You will see this:
Click on the extract to on the top left:
The extraction path and options menu will come up – leave the defaults and say OK.
This will pop up and it will extract the files – this may take a little while
Once the extraction has finished close winrar.
You will have the following icon on your desktop:
Double click on that folder and you will see the following folder:
Double click on the folder “Jaguar Epc v3 10.2009” You will see the following window:
First take the JEPC Shortcut file and drag it to your desktop.
Then CLICK on the JEPC folder, hold down control and click on the jepcv3 folder (so both are highlighted).
Right click and say CUT. (or press control X)
Now go to computer (or My computer in XP)
Double click on c:
You want to be in the root of c: (your icons will be different, BUT the key is across the top that it says computer -> Local Disk (C: ) ->
Right click on a blank part of the window and say paste:
The computer will move the two folders from your desktop to the c: directory
When it’s done you should see these two folders in the computer -> Local Disk (C: ) -> window.
Now double click on your JEPC Shortcut icon on your desktop:
IF all went well this will open up.
Type Admin in the login field and 123 in the password field - click login, and the main menu will come up:
Then select the model / year, and go from there.
Hope this helps with all the install issues.
Feel free to ask a question if you have one or need help, BUT please post it here, that way I don't have to answer the same questions repeatedly, and others can read it here rather than waiting for me or others to respond.
Take care and Enjoy
George

Well, all did not go well! The folders are on the C drive, the shortcut is on the desk top. But when I double click JEPC I get a window which says
This program cannot display the webpage
Most likely causes:
Check your Internet connection. Try visiting another website to make sure you are connected.
Retype the address.
Go back to the previous page.
The JEPC shortcut leads to JEPCIndex.hta
If I look at the source of that, I see a line which says
SRC=install/html/JEPCLogin.html
Well, I don't see a file called JEPCLogin.html anywhere....

Install worked like a champ (even though I used 7zip File Manager to unzip the .rar), thanks!
I assume from looking at the info in the app, that this an e-parts list? Is there something else I am missing? I was kinda hoping it would be a JTIS equivalent that works on my WIN7-64 machine... doesn't look like that's gonna be it.
Regardless, thanks for the effort - it will come in handy.

This along with the JTIS is a seriously helpful tool, it's what the main agent parts guy looks at when you call.....I love the parts diagrams, KUDOS!
@Quad, yep, e-parts list, I'm not sure how you can get the JTIS to run on a win7 64 bit pc, maybe use an old xp pro laptop, that's what I use, bought a cheapo one off a friend.

After a couple of failed attempts to install this on my WinXP (Sp3) system, I meticulously followed your wonderfully detailed instructions and, low and behold, it works!! Thank you for this wonderful contribution to the Forum. It will be invaluable to many of us in the days ahead. I have an 02 XJ8L and my daughter has an 05 S-type V6.
Two questions: I cannot get data for the "XJ Series (From (V)812317 to F59525 (Canada/Mexico/USA)." The non-Canada/Mexico/USA and the S-Type menu items work perfectly. 1) Is this the way it is supposed to be? 2) Wouldn't most part numbers be the same for both USA and non-USA? Again, my profound thanks.

Locate the following file:
C:\JEPC\applications\JEPC\index.html
Double clicking will display this message:
"If the JEPC Mark III application is not openned in a new window, click here to launch"
Click on it and VOILA! The catalog LOGIN page will be displayed!
