Gearbox Fault (P0730) After ABS Light and No Trac / Stability (C1175)
ok - so here is my problem...2001 XJR x308
My ABS / No Trac / No Stability light comes on randomly...but oddly enough when I am driving up a hill...so I continue to drive home, no big deal, as we have probably all been here before...I don't notice any other issues, but then when I get home the Gearbox Fault message comes up...normally happens right as I am getting home...it happened twice on my commute home which is normally an hour...any ideas how the ABS / No Trac issue could lead to a gearbox fault over the course of an hour or so?
how does one lead to the other...and the same scenario happened twice...abs light than gearbox message...

First on the list always is get the battery tested. A wonky battery will create the warnings. Next I would look at cleaning the ABS sensors. and checking to make sure you don't have a damaged wire. If the abs isn't seeing wheel speed then it and the trans don't know what to do for making things correct.

See page 49

The left rear wheel speed sensor is your speedometer and the sensor can be removed and cleaned of debris on the face of the sensor ( common ) as well as the connector
In a rare case someone had a connector under the rear seat pan messed up somehow
