Goodbye 98 Vanden Plas
For my Jag going away forever at 223,000 plus miles.
Goodbye Red! Thank you for all the long road trips, and I appreciated all the time we spent together both on the road and in the garage. Thank you for always getting us where we going no matter the weather. I thank you for always keeping us safe. Your being substituted with another Jag, but you will never be replaced as you the last XJ of the breed of Jags i love. Goodbye old friend.
If anybody is not too far from Central Connecticut and would like to take the whole thing for parts, i would let it go for a few hundred bucks. It is still drive able. Just uses a lot of oil, needs the main timing belt tensioners done, maybe a timing chain, secondaries were done last year. Also tranny might need some work. Shifts weird every now and then. But that could be easy because it has the aftermarket Transmission dip stick assembly on it. A lot of good parts on this one. Including newer Goodyear Eagle tires. Only put them on in August and the car has been sitting since December.
