GPS Backup Camera installaiton
Was wondering if anyone has installed a GPS with Backup camera in a 1999 XJR ,
My worry is tapping into the backup lights for camera power, and causing computer warnings bulb out messages on dash because of the difference in resistance in the wires afterwards.
Last week it cost me over $300 with a bulb out rear warning only to find out wasn't a bulb but I needed a new Battery.
Anyone got experience? or should I just go for it.
Magellan Roadmate 5255t .. they on sale at Crappy Tire this week, and the wife has always wanted a backup camera in the old Jag....

My car came with a rear view camera / park sensors, and after market nav. system.
It was installed as u mentioned, and the nav. system spliced into the audio, without any electric problems and glitches.
I removed all (sans the park sensors), as I did not like the after market look, but it functions / -ed all ok.
