Default Grrrr, dead with all electronic/lights etc.

All lights etc. work, been sitting for 4 days w/ no start nor drive. I did notice 1st attempt @ starting all the windows went down maybe an half inch & no strange warnings upon system check, I only get one single weak click, Happy New Years folks !

Sounds a dying battery to me.
Had same last month, also kept the lights, but strange things when attempting to start.
Went to 'click-only' within a day, even after charging.
New battery works like a charm, no issues.

Try a jump start, if successful would point to battery...?

Roger that both you guys, I will call AAA in the morning. It has died on me maybe a month ago after 5 days sitting & a jump revived her. I'll just load her with a new battery for the new year.

You tend to find that complete failure will follow fairly soon after flattening the battery. As the battery gets older, one full discharge is enough to kill it completely. In fact, I would have gone battery shopping after the first failure a month ago.

Yeah it fired up with a jump, I let it run for several minutes & will get a new one in the AM.

Edit :
Going to use AAA's battery service but I WILL be standing there to observe/make sure the vent tube is properly done.

Also just realized that both times the battery died are the only times I had the doors locked & alarm active . I guess it must really be on the way out if that small drain taxes it that badly over a few days.

Disclaimer
:
I was just stressed, fresh off a 10 hour red eye which was delayed & I touch down to find my baby DOA lol. Not to mention torrential rain flooding here, my mind was running the gamut.

Ok current battery tests perfect, but on the drain test with everything off,no alarm, lights etc. car's still drawing 1 amp ?! Any clue as to what's drawing or is this just one of the electrical gremlins we inherit with these beauties lol. I tend to let this car sit for days @ a time so I may just install a kill switch on the battery. Then again I don't like having to reset things either.

The quiescent drain on your battery should be in the order of 30mA so a draw of 1A, with everything off, indicates a problem.

One way to find it is to disconnect each fuse panel in turn until the draw disappears. Once you have that then you can check the individual circuits.

As you leave it for days make sure it is fully locked with all auto functions switched off.
Also check the flap in the ignition barrel is closing when the key is removed.

If possible, hook it up to a smart charger when not in use.

Hope this helps,

If I remember rightly, it takes 60-90 mins for all the ECUs to go into rest mode after the ignition is turned off and the key removed.

So, I would test for current draw after this amount of time.

And the time restarts if you open/close anything.

After you figure out if you do have a current draw and correct it, I would highly recommend a Battery Tender when at home since you say you leave it for days on end without starting. Mine sits weeks on end when I go out of town and I have a Battery Tender on all 3 of my vehicles and all 3 start flawlessly. A $35 investment per unit or a get a multiunit, either way they are well worth it.
I can also highly, highly recommend the Micro Starter XP-10 battery pack. I bought one a little over a year ago ($150, there are cheaper brands 60-90, but this one is the cats meow), it came fully charged and I charged it for the first time just 2 wks ago after jumping about 15 vehicles over the yr. Even though it didn't need charged, it was only down one bar. Watch the video on youtube on it and then if your out of town longer than anticipated and your baby is at the airport and the battery dies, you'll have backup. No wait jump, just like having a new battery. These will be what we will be putting in cars in the near future. My particular one also charges phones and runs a laptop easily and comes with the connectors for them.
