Default Is the H02 Sensor Relay Like All Other Relays?

Hello Gentlemen:

I need to replace my H02 sensor relay. I'm looking for part LNE6703AA ("Revised Upstream H02 Sensor Relay").

Can someone tell me if this relay is the same as all the other relays in the car, or are they different? Having trouble locating a place to get it online.

Thank you,
SirJag

Hi SirJag

I viewed the relays in the engine compartment 3 locations and all appear to be part# LJA6703AA.

Here are 2 JPEG Photo files I took of the ECM enclosure showing the relays in there:

This relay is a general purpose relay and is available almost everywhere.

Thanks Jim... especially for the photos. Would you happen to know which one is the upstream H02 sensor relay? I suppose my mechanic can test each one.

The diagnostic flow chart says that if the current one tests bad, to replace it with "revised upstream h02 sensor, part LNE 6703AA" I suppose I could just try the part # you mentioned.

Thanks for your help, as always, Jim!

The relay locations are laid out in the "owners vehicle maintenence" booklet. Unfortunately, the numbering system is sometimes not apparent. A better reference is the relay location diagram in the electrical diagrams pdf ... see the FAQ.

It is not quite a general purpose relay because it is missing one pin position, and is diode protected to prevent arcing across the relay poles.

Hi SirJag
My first photo in the earlier post shows 5 of the relays in the Control Module Enclosure (ECM Enclosure). The first Relay on the right in photo is the 02S Heater relay.

Page 37 in the Electrcal Diagrams PDF (Relay and Fuse Box Location) Look at the right side of diagram (find Control Module Enclosure Relays - LHD) - Note the 02S Heater Relay is located after the top & lower smaller relays (Intercooler Pump relay - AJ27 SC only - and the Fuel Injection relay).

Page 55 in the Electrical Diagrams PDF (Fig 04.1) shows the 02S Heaters relay - Look for the Relay with a WG (White Wire with Green stripe) going into the relay and a NG (Brown Wire with Green Stripe) coming out of the Relay. Also going into the same relay is a WU (White Wire with Blue Stripe) and B (Black Wire coming out of the Relay).
