I am currently working on customized halo lights to my jag that will hopefully give a new look for an older style jaguar xj8. I know some people will just say, just buy a bmw or audi but I wanna see how it looks for myself. If anyone has tried this or can offer some advice as far as the wiring, resistors, and dissembling the headlight, I would really appreciate your feedback.

I personally don't agree with the Halos, as that is a distinctly BMW cue, but you could take the lens off and remove the chrome-coloured outsde of the reflective bit and put lights on the outside of the ficture, behind it. You would probably have to grind off the outside of the reflective fixture, to let light in from behind the fixture. Careful not to break the connectors though, and the brackets, they are quite brittle. and you could take out the parksing lights, which don't go with your new style, and leave those little holes in the fixtures, and wire up some other light source. So I mean to cut into the outside of the plastic/metal reflective part, not the glass of course. And your new strip-LED lights, plugged into the parking light wires, could sit on the outside of the light fixture (but under the hood, and the light would leak through the halos cut around the outside. and be sure not to cut out a full 360, because then the light fixture will fall out of itself.
