I need same gaskets for my 1999 XJR .. does anyone know the inside size of exhaust pipe at cats ?, a universal would work no? I can get universal shipped for $under 6 including shipping to my door, as soon as you mention Jaguar, it's $38 a piece with shipping to Canada is there a difference? someone filled mine with silicone when they replaced the hanger bearing last year.

Hi,
yes, an universal flex hose will do the job. I did replaced both sides a few weeks ago. Unfortunately I can't find the dimensions that I measured when I did the replacements.
But here's a picture off e*** with the dimensions of the universals that I used for my MY2000 XJR.
I used new gaskets as well but had to use additional sealing compound as the gaskets didn't manage to seal it properly.
I cut the exhaust right behind = downstram the flex hose, broke loose the bolts at the cat and flexed off the flex hose at the connecting piece to the cat.
After grinding down one side of the universal it fitted perfectly in the connecting piece. After cutting both ends to size each end slid easily into it's position, so I could weld it.
See attached pictures for condition before and after welding.

Then I didn't get your question.
Sorry, in that matter I can't tell you the dimensions. But in my case they turned out to be useless, since they didn't seal properly. So I guess it should work out without them and using exhaust sealing compound instead, if you don't get any reasonable universals.
Cheers, Alexander

If it helps you I can take measurements of the flange and bolts as soon as I'm on a lift again. Should be within next week or so.
The diameter for fitting the flex hose in the flange is a little less than 48mm (that's why I had to grind down the D=48mm section of the flex pipe a little bit to slide on the flange). What I can do is take measurements of the total lenght and width of the flange = gasket and also of the distance between the bolts. Is that something that helps?

I'm quite sure it's 2" but no more that 2.25". I won't know for sure until I get to work on Monday though because I have a cat with that flange that I can measure the I.D. if you can wait that long.

worked
Bought a pair of gaskets, off ebay for $2.31 shipped to the door, had to widen the bolt holes a 1/4" with die grinder, otherwise worked like a charm.
