Default Has anyone tried these rotors?

These are from one of the site sponsors ...CARID...
Chrome Brakes® - Jaguar XJ-Type 1998-2003 Vented Drilled and Slotted Rotors

I was curious if anyone has any experience with them? Are they are just thinly coated with the coloring, in which case as the pads wear on them, they become cheesy looking? Or is the color finish thick enough and thus keeps its color with use?

I would love to get the gold ones (my car is green), but would be happy with a set of standard color finish. Mine would be the 325mm (2000 VDP/R).

No direct experience but you can bet that one good stop and the color would be gone from the area where the pads contact.

Must be right there with the FAKE Brembo calipers COVERS
Anyone that know anything about brakes know not to use after-market cross-drilled rotors

That was my main concerns, between the friction and heat that it would scar the finish and discolor, thus leaving a cheesy finish.

Drilled rotors will crack.

This might answer your question about colour (right around 1:25). Warranty is "interesting" - 1 yr or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. I am guessing 1 yr will come first! This also contradicts the lifetime warranty stated on the CARID site.

Thanks Badger, that helped shed some light on my questions, hope this helps out some others also.
It seems they are simply coating the whole rotor with this 'special' color finish and it scrapes off the area for the pads to seat to and you pay the extra cash for a prettied up rotor that probably should only be used for auto shows. I even found them at Brake World for $247 and a better selection of other rotors.
